Fuel for the Soul: A Christmas & Anniversary Concert to Remember
The Manila Symphony Orchestra conducted by Prof. Arturo T. Molina It was a magical night at CCP’s Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) wherein guests arrived in their suits and formal dresses for a black-tie concert event presented by Eastern Petroleum Corporation for its 15th Anniversary celebration.
The evening started with the Manila Symphony Orchestra, conducted by the well respected Prof. Arturo T. Molina, which played the Overture. Guests were all captivated by Fame Flores, a young soprano artist who’s pure raw-talent landed her previously as a runner up in Pilipinas Got Talent. The Angelos composed of Louie Abalgar, George S. Tagle, Miguel Aguila, and Paolo Libiran endeared the audience to classical music with their powerful performance.
Clockwise from left: Fame Flores, Diane Macarine and The Angelos Diane Macarine, also a Soprano, showcased her abilities in singing. The Opera Belles mesmerized everyone with their beauty and angelic voices. Scholars from the Sayaw Foundation also performed ballet dances during the concert.
Entitled “Fuel for the Soul”, the concert made the audience appreciate the abilities and talents of Filipino home-grown artists. One can feel the respect and admiration especially after the program when guests, Eastern employees and students were posing for pictures and asking for autographs from them.
Everyone thoroughly enjoed listening to Classical and Christmas music that night. To share the event with people who’ve helped the Company grow through the years, friends and family, have truly made it a Christmas & Anniversary Concert to remember.
