Fuel for the Soul: A Christmas and Anniversary Celebration
Eastern Petroleum Corporation, in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Makati Salcedo, will embark on its first concert entitled “Fuel for the Soul: A Christmas and Anniversary Celebration”. Guided by a vision of promoting Filipino talents, Eastern Petroleum President and CEO, Mr. Fernando Martinez sees the concert as an opportunity to showcase local talents as well as cultivate the opera scene in the Philippines. Mr. Martinez adds that this concert marks the beginning of Eastern Petroleum Corporation’s commitment to advancement of Filipino talent.
The concert is also a fund raising activity for the benefit of the Kabisig ng Kalahi Foundation. The foundation establishes feeding programs nationwide for malnourished children ages two to six years old as well as proper nutrition seminars for mothers.
The concert will be held on December 13, 2011, at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo of the Cultural Center of the Philippines at 8:00 pm. The concert will feature the following talents:

Recently awarded as Aliw Awards Best New Artist (Group) 2011, Opera Belles is a new all female Classical/ Cross-over(Pop) Group that is composed of Allison Tanner, Lara Maigue and Jam Valdez. They are classically trained young singers and are currently Sony Music recording artists.
Fame Flores, a 2nd year student at the College of Music, University of the Philippines is an opera Singer and a 2-time Aliw Awards Finalist for Best Classical Performer (Female category) for 2009 and 2010.
An Aliw Awards’ Best Group Performance In a Concert 2009, the Angelos is a classical-pop tenor group composed of young and vibrant men composed of Louir Abaigar, George S. Tagle, Miguel Aguila and Paolo Libiran. The Angelos have been tagged by media as the Aia’s answer to Il Divo.
Diana Macarine is a soprano singer and was under the tutelage of Professor Emeritus Fides Cuyugan-Asencio of the College of Music, University of the Philippines and Dr. Kenn Gartner of the Juilliard School of Music. Diana has been part of local and international choir groups among others, The PCIBank Chorale, CORO Sanctuario de San Antonio Forbes Park, Solano Choral Society California, St. Catherine of Sienna Music Ministries Vallejo California.
Sayaw Foundation, a non profit organization started in 1998 with a small group of friends getting together to promote arts and culture. At present, there are 200 beginners and advanced scholars from bother elementary schools of Mandaluyong and Las Piñas. Their scholars are learning basic, classic and contemporary ballet, hip hop and folk dances.
